What's the difference between Heartland Digital and Internet Banking?

Heartland Digital is part of our long-term focus to make banking faster and simpler, so you have more accessibility and flexibility with your money.

Many common online banking features are available in Heartland Digital, but there may be times when you will need to log in to Internet Banking for some of your banking needs.

It’s easy to set yourself up with both online platforms. All you need to do is complete the Internet Banking Registration Form and email it to [email protected] or contact us on 0800 85 20 20 20 between 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
If you have forgotten your user ID or password, please call us on 0800 85 20 20 between 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We’ll need to ask you a few questions to confirm your identity before telling you your user ID or resetting your password over the phone.

To log in you will need a user ID and password. Your user ID is in the email we sent to you when you first opened your account.

If you have forgotten your user ID or password, please call us on 0800 85 20 20 between 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We’ll need to ask you a few questions to confirm your identity before telling you your user ID or resetting your password over the phone.

Heartland Digital is a website that enables most common online banking tasks to be carried out on your desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile. It has the same features as the Heartland Mobile App (except for PIN login, fingerprint login, and Quick Balances).

To use Heartland Digital you will need to use a modern web browser, such as; Safari 10.1+, Microsoft Edge 79+, Mozilla Firefox 52+ and Google Chrome 57+.

When logging into Internet Banking or Heartland Digital, if you enter your password incorrectly three times you’ll be locked out. This has been put in place for security reasons to prevent unauthorised access attempts.

If you’re locked out, simply call us on 0800 85 20 20 from 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We’ll need to ask you a few questions to confirm your identity before resetting your password over the phone.

Heartland Bank processes all transfers and deposits at 7pm each business day. If you transact on a business day before 7pm, your transaction will go through overnight.

Payments to other New Zealand banks on a non-business day will be processed on the next business day between Monday and Friday, not including public holidays.

Payments to other from a Heartland account to another Heartland customer will be processed immediately, 24/7.

Heartland Digital is available to customers who have access to Internet Banking.
