Management Team

Heartland Building Society’s Management Team is responsible for implementing policy and strategy set by the Board, and ensuring the company is run efficiently and effectively.

Led by our Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Greenslade, the Management Team is made up of the heads of our major business units and functions. They have substantial national and international experience in business and management, and comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry.

Jeff Greenslade

Chief Executive Officer

Jeff has over 20 years' experience as a senior executive, and is responsible for the strategy and operational management of Heartland Building Society. He joined MARAC Finance Limited as Chief Executive Officer in 2009, and was appointed to its board in December of that year.

Craig Stephen

Treasurer

Craig is a qualified economist and has 20 years' experience in the banking and finance industry, having held a variety of senior positions in both the banking and corporate sectors.

James Mitchell

Head of Business

James has over 20 years' banking and financial services experience including marketing, cards and payments, investments, insurance and relationship banking.

Chris Flood

Head of Retail and Consumer

Chris has spent 27 years in the finance and banking sectors, and has broad experience in consumer and commercial finance.

Mark Mountcastle

Chief Risk Officer

Mark has over 20 years' experience in banking and finance, and an extensive background in risk, originally in the credit risk area.

Michael Harris

Head of South Island

Michael was appointed to Heartland Building Society as Acting Head of Retail in 2010.

Michael Jonas

General Counsel

Michael is an experienced banking and finance lawyer. During the course of his legal career he has been a partner in several of New Zealand's leading law firms.

Sarah Selwood

Head of Human Resources

Sarah has 20 years' experience in financial services, including 17 years with Heartland.

Sean Kam

Chief Financial Officer

Sean is Chief Financial Officer of Heartland Building Society. He has 20 years' experience in senior finance positions, predominantly in the banking sector in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Will Purvis

Head of Rural

Will has over 20 years' banking experience gained working for major New Zealand banks. His career experience includes business, rural, private and retail banking.
